Protection from anxiety, depression, and overwhelming debt

Hadith: Bukhari 2893 (Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (RA))

Transliteration

English Meaning

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.

Significance & Context

This linguistic structure operates on four distinct, interconnected dyads: temporal afflictions (anxiety/sorrow), operational failure (weakness/laziness), behavioral retractions (miserliness/cowardice), and socio-economic subjugation (debt/oppression). By actively vocalizing protection against these systemic constraints, the individual undergoes a cognitive reframing from victimhood to resilience.
