Al-Hasan al-Basri (RH)'s supplication for gratitude and contentment with divine decree

Transmitted through Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him)

اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَزِدْنِي عِلْماً

Transliteration

Allahumman fa'ni bima allamtani wa allimni ma yanfa'uni wa zidni ilma.

English Meaning

O Allah! Benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.

বাংলা অর্থ

হে আল্লাহ! আপনি আমাকে যা শিখিয়েছেন তা দিয়ে আমাকে উপকৃত করুন, আমাকে এমন কিছু শেখান যা আমার উপকার করবে এবং আমার জ্ঞান বৃদ্ধি করুন।

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا إِلَى الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

Allahummah-dina ilas-siratal mustaqim, siratil-ladhina an'amta alayhim.

O Allah! Guide us to the straight path — the path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your grace.
