Sufyan al-Thawri (RH)'s supplication for protection from bid'ah and misguidance

Transmitted through Sufyan al-Thawri (may Allah have mercy on him)

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنَا إِلَى الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

Transliteration

Allahummah-dina ilas-siratal mustaqim, siratil-ladhina an'amta alayhim.

English Meaning

O Allah! Guide us to the straight path — the path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your grace.

হে আল্লাহ! আমাদের সরল পথে পরিচালিত করুন — তাদের পথে যাদের উপর আপনি অনুগ্রহ করেছেন।

اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَزِدْنِي عِلْماً

Allahumman fa'ni bima allamtani wa allimni ma yanfa'uni wa zidni ilma.

O Allah! Benefit me with what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.
