Qur'an 21:87
لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Transliteration
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin.
English Meaning
There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.
বাংলা অর্থ
আপনি ছাড়া কোনো উপাস্য নেই। আপনি পবিত্র। নিশ্চয়ই আমি জালিমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলাম।
Significance & Context
Yunus (AS) left his people without permission from Allah and was swallowed by a whale. In complete darkness — inside the whale, in the ocean depths, in the night — he called out in perfect tawbah. The supplication begins with tawhid (لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ), continues with tasbih (سُبْحَانَكَ), and ends with admission of fault (إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ). The Prophet ﷺ said: 'No Muslim calls upon Allah with this supplication for anything, except that Allah responds to him.' (Tirmidhi 3505) This makes it one of the most powerful duas in Islam for times of extreme hardship.
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa illam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakunanna minal khasirin.
Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers.

Details →رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا تَبَارًا
Rabbighfir li wa liwaalidayya wa liman dakhala baytiya mu'minan wa lilmu'minina wal mu'minat; wa la tazidiz zalimina illa tabara.
My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and women. And increase the wrongdoers only in ruin.
Quran: Surah Nuh, 71:28
Details →رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آَمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana innana amanna faghfir lana dhunubana waqina adhaban nar.
Our Lord! We have surely believed, so forgive our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
