Supplication for pure and righteous offspring (Zakariya (AS)'s Dua)

Quran: Surah Al-Imran, 3:38

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ

Transliteration

Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibatan, innaka sami'ud du'a.

English Meaning

My Lord! Grant me from Yourself righteous offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.

হে আমার প্রতিপালক! আপনার বিশেষ অনুগ্রহে আমাকে পবিত্র সন্তান দান করুন। নিশ্চয়ই আপনি প্রার্থনা শ্রবণকারী।

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ. رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ

Rabbij'alni muqimas salati wa min dhurriyyati, Rabbana wa taqabbal du'a. Rabbanaghfir li wa liwalidayya wa lilmu'minina yawma yaqumul hisab.

My Lord! Make me and my descendants steadfast in prayer. Our Lord! Accept my supplication. Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Reckoning.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lilmuttaqina imama.

Our Lord! Grant us joy in our spouses and children, and make us a model for the righteous.

Forgiveness for predecessors and cleansing the heart of malice

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ

Rabbanaghfir lana wa li ikhwaninalladhina sabaquna bil imani wa la taj'al fi qulubina ghillan lilladhina amanu Rabbana innaka ra'ufur rahim.

Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and do not put in our hearts any resentment toward those who believe. Our Lord! You are indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
